Upacara Peringatan Hari Lahir Pancasila tahun ini mengusung tema “Bangkit Bersama Membangun Peradaban Dunia”.
Upacara dipusatkan di Lapangan Pancasila Ende, Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) dengan komandan upacara Letkol Inf Tunjung Setyabudi.
Bertindak selaku Inspektur upacara Presiden RI Joko Widodo dengan mengenakan pakaian adat khas Ende Ragi Lambu Luka Lesu dengan penutup kepala.
Dalam amanatnya Presiden Joko Widodo mengajak seluruh anak bangsa, tokoh pemimpin, tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama, pendidik dan pimpinan partai politik untuk menjadi teladan serta contoh dalam aktualisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa dan bernegara.
“Mengajak seluruh masyarakat agar bergerak aktif memperkokoh nilai-nilai pancasila, dalam mewujudkan Indonesia Maju dan cita-cita proklamasi kemerdekaan RI,” katanya.
Di akhir upacara Presiden RI Joko Widodo beserta istri, Iriana melihat secara langsung situs Taman Renungan (Pohon Sukun) Bung Karno.
Kemudian penganugerahan gelar adat oleh masyarakat Ende NTT kepada Jokowi yang mempunyai makna pemimpin RI dari Sabang sampai Merauke.
