PARINGIN,RB- Dalam meningkatkan peran dalam menghadapi kebencanaan, BPBD Balangan berikan materi dan pelatihan kepada linmas yang ada di setiap desa di kecamatan.
Keberadaan linmas yang begitu dekat dengan desa sudah seyogiyanya harus memiliki berbagai keterampilan, salah satu diantaranya adalah tentang cara menghadapi bencana.
Kepala Pelaksana BPBD Balangan, H Rahmi mengatakan, dalam setengah bulan terakhir BPBD melalui TRC aktif melaksanakan kegiataan pembinaan dan pelatihan kepada linmas yang ada didesa.
“Pembinaan dan pelatihan ini memang diminta langsung oleh pihak desa maupun kecamatan, untuk melatih kesiapan dan keterampilan dalam menghadapi bencana, yaitu bencana banjir dan musibah kebakaran,” ujarnya Rabu (21/12/2022).
Lebih lanjut disampaikannya, bahwa selain materi sosialisasi, para linmas juga dilatih bagaimana menggunakan alat-alat pemadam, mulai dari cara menghidupkan mesin sampai dengan cara menggunakannya.
Karena jika terjadi musibah kebakaran, linmas dapat bergerak cepat untuk ke lokasi karena posisinya berada di desa, untuk itulah keberadaan linmas ini sangat membantu para damkar untuk memadamkan api.
“Bahkan beberapa desa saat ini sudah ada yang menganggarkan alat mesin pemadam, sehingga dengan adanya latihan linmas ini dapat meminimalisir musibah kebakaran,” harapnya.
Oleh karena itu melalui kegiatan pembinaan linmas ini dapat membantu masyarakat dalam penanganan bencana, apalagi saat ini masih dalam status musim hujan, dan puncaknya terjadi bulan Desember dan Januari 2023. (Tim RB).
