PARINGIN – Perhimpunan Anggrek Indonesia (PAI) DPC Kabupaten Balangan, Provinsi Kalimantan selatan, turut serta menghadiri Festival Anggrek KemBali Internasional 2023 di Denpasar, Bali, yang digelar pada 4-14 Mei 2023.
Kegiatan yang mengusung tema “Orchids, Unity in Diversity 2023” ini menampilkan sebanyak 700 jenis anggrek dari luar Bali dan 25 jenis anggrek Bali dan diikuti peserta dari berbagai daerah se-Indonesia bahkan peserta dari luar negeri yakni Malaysia, Singapura, dan Taiwan.
Ketua PAI DPC Kabupaten Balangan, Sri Huriyati Hadi, Sabtu (6/5) mengatakan, selain ajang silaturahmi dengan perwakilan masing-masing daerah se-Indonesia, kegiatan tersebut juga untuk mempelajari, bagaimana memberikan semangat pada pecinta anggrek, untuk membudidayakan jenis tanaman yang langka ini.
Dimana kita tahu bahwa Kabupaten Balangan memiliki banyak jenis tanaman beragam yang unik, salah satunya yaitu Anggrek Bulan lokal yang berasal dari Kecamatan Halong dan Tebing Tinggi.
“Kalau tidak disemangati dengan berbagai ajang, tentu hanya sedikit dari warga yang akan tertarik untuk menyayangi bahkan membudidayakan tanaman hutan lokal ini,” tuturnya.
Bahkan menurutnya, dengan semaraknya ajang tanaman anggrek, tentu ini akan menimbulkan sebuah efek nilai ekonomi bagi para pecinta anggrek nantinya.
“Tanaman anggrek lokal di Balangan dapat dikembangkan tidak hanya dirumah saja, nantinya jika sudah banyak yang tertarik tentu bisa dijual oleh pembudidayanya, atau bahkan bisa saja sebagai sebuah areal wisata anggrek,” imbuh istri dari Bupati Balangan ini.
Tampak wanita yang akrab disapa Bunda Srie ini, disambut hangat oleh Ni Putu Putri Suastini Koster, yang juga dikenal sebagai seorang seniman tradisional asli Pulau Dewata, dan merupakan istri dari Gubernur Bali, I Wayan Koster. (MC Balangan)
