AMUNTAI, RB – Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Bupati Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) menghadiri acara sidang terbuka senat Wisuda Program Diploma dan Sarjana ke- XVI Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Administrasi (STIA) Amuntai Tahun Akademik 2020/2021, di Aula Kampus setempat, Selasa (7/12/2021).
Dalam kesempatannya itu, Plt Bupati HSU Husairi Abdi mengucapakan selamat sembari berharap kepada para sarjana muda ini mampu menjadi pribadi-pribadi yang berkualitas dan mampu mengaktualisasikan ilmunya untuk memberikan kemanfaatan bagi orang lain, serta turut mewujudkan cita-cita dan visi pembangunan daerah yaitu HSU Mantap (maju, mandiri, sejahtera, agamis dan produtif).
“Kita perlu mengingatkan kembali kepada kita semua khususnya bagi para wisudawan – wisudawati, bahwa wisuda bukan akhir dari perjuangan tapi ini adalah adalah awal dari perjuangan para wisudawan STIA Amuntai,” ucap Husairi.
Menurutnya, di situasi seperti sekarang ini, diperlukan kemampuan dalam berbagai hal seperti kemampuan spiritual sebagai pondasi dasar, penguasaan ilmu dan teknologi, peningkata skill dan keterampilan sehingga mampu menghadapi, menjawab dan bersaing, dalam menghadapi tantangan globalisasi dan peradaban modern ini.
“Para wisudawan dan wisudawati STIA Amuntai harus ingat, bahwa saat ini kompetisi dan persaingan yang kita hadapi adalah kompetisi dalam penguasaan dan pemanfaatan teknologi khususnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, selama saudara-saudari menguasai dan mampu memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, maka selama itu para wisudawan dan wisudawati STIA Amuntai tidak seharusnya merasa minder,” pesannya.
Selain itu, ia juga berpesan para sarjana perlu membuat berbagai kegiatan diantaranya yaitu penelitian yang dapat memberikan manfaat serta terobosan bagi pemerintah maupun masyarakat di daerah.
“Kita harap para wisudawan -wisudawati nantinya mampu menjadi pelopor, figur dan teladan di masyarakat, menciptakan usaha sendiri, dan mengajak kepada kaum muda untuk meningkatkan daya wirausaha sehingga usaha-usaha baru akan muncul dan bisa mempertahankan perekonomian kita, meningkatkan kualitas SDM atau tenaga kerja kita agar memiliki daya saing dan daya tawar yang tinggi,” ujarnya.
Sementara itu, Ketua STIA Amuntai H Akhmad Riduan menyampaikan terimakasih kepada Plt Bupati HSU beserta para tamu yang telah hadir dalam acara wisuda STIA Amuntai kali ini.
“Pada Pelaksanaan Wisuda Diploma dan Sarjana STIA Amuntai Tahun Akademik 2020/2021 diikuti oleh 495 Wisudawan/i yang terdiri dari 183 orang Laki-laki dan 312 orang Perempuan. Jumlah Lulusan Diploma 3 (D3) berjumlah 27 Orang dan Sarjana (S1) berjumlah 468 orang,”bebernya.
Akhmad RiduanRiduan juga menyampaikan sebagai keseriusan dalam memberikan pelayanan terhadap mahasiswa. Disamping itu Yayasan Bakti Muslimin Amuntai juga memberikan Beasiswa kepada 137 orang mahasiswa Diploma 3 yang kurang mampu dan Aparat Desa untuk bisa kuliah di STIA Amuntai tanpa dipungut biaya sampai selesai.
Selain itu, Kata Riduan STIA Amuntai juga memfasilitasi Beasiswa kepada mahasiswa baik bersumber dari Pemerintah Pusat melalui LLDIKTI Wilayah XI Kalimantan dan juga dari Pemerintah Daerah.Beasiswa yang diterima dari tahun 2017 sampai sekarang yang bersumber dari LLDIKTI Melipuu Beasiswa Bidikmisi / KIP Kuliah sebanyak 245 mahasiswa, Beasiswa PPA sebanyak 38 mahasiswa dan bantuan UKT/SPP selama 3 semester terakhir sebanyak 467 mahasiswa.
