Jiwa emansipasi wanita, khususnya terkait kebebasan pemenuhan diri dan pengembangan diri bagi perempuan begitu membekas di hatinya.
Untuk itu, Gina Astuni memilih aktif dibagai organisasi yang ada di lingkungannya, baik internal kampus tempat berkuliah maupun diluar kampus.
Menurut perempuan kelahiran 27 Mei 2000 silam ini, keberadaan perempuan bukan lagi pelengkap bagi kaum laki-laki, perempuan jika mau ia bisa berkarier dan bahkan mengubah dunia. Begitu pun dalam tataran organisasi, peran perempuan amat penting.
Soal berorganisasi ini,.kata Gina, dirinya sempat mendapat pandangan miring dari beberapa orang di lingkungan sekitarnya.
“Bagi kita yang memilih beraktivitas diluar rumah akan selalu ada ungkapan miring yang akan kita terima, kuncinya ada pada diri sendiri, mau membenarkan atau membuktikan kebenaran,” ujar wanita yang kini aktif sebagai Duta Genre Kalsel ini.
Walau dapat pandangan tak baik, Wanita yang bertempat tinggal di Desa Inan, Kecamatan Paringin Selatan, Kabupaten Balangan ini, selalu berusaha membuktikan jika selama ikut berorganisasi dilakukan dengan baik dan benar, maka selama itu juga akan ada feedback yang positif bagi dirinya sendiri.
Anak kedua dari tiga bersaudara ini menceritakan, kalau ia ikut dan aktif berbagai kegiatan nasional sejak tahun 2017, kegiatannya juga lintas sektor dan aktif sampai saat ini.
Selama ini menurut wanita yang baru saja menyelesaikan pendidikan tingkat strata satunya ini mengakui, sudah banyak lika-liku yang ia lalui, mulai dari lingkungan yang underestimated (diremehkan/Rad), kemudian keterbatasan informasi serta kurangnya dukungan orang-orang terdekat.
“Selain itu, dukungan dari pemerintah juga sangat minim bukan cuma secara materi, tapi juga apresiasinya. Sehingga ini salah satu kendala besar dalam perkembangan kita kaum perempuan berkiprah di dunia organisasi,” bebernya.
Namun terpenting, Gina berpesan, jika ada kemauan dan kerja keras, tentu seseorang bisa mencapai apa yang orang lain bisa gapai. Contohnya dirinya, meski tinggal daerah pinggiran dan kuliah di kampus yang tak terlalu populer, namun dirinya masih bisa bersaing dan mampu dalam hal berorganisasi, bahkan hingga tingkat nasional.
“Karena pada akhirnya, proses dan hasil adalah satu paket komplit yang jadi bukti bahwa siapapun bisa melakukan hal-hal luar biasa asal ada usaha, doa, dan restu orang tua,” tegasnya.
Gina Astuti sendiri, aktif sebagai Laskar Rempah Indonesia, Ketua Umum UKM Kosema STIA Amuntai, Anggota Karang Taruna Kabupaten Balangan, Anggota Duta GenRe Kalimantan Selatan, serta anggota Divisi Blogger di Duta Damai Kalimantan Selatan.
