Banjarmasin, RB – Gubernur Kalimantan Selatan (Kalsel), Sahbirin Noor meletakan batu pertama pembangunan gedung Rektorat Universitas Islam Kalimantan (Uniska) Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari (MAB), di Jl Kebun Jeruk Lokasi Kawasan Pengembangan Perumahan Syahrani Budi Handil Bakti, Kabupaten Barito Kuala, Sabtu (15/7/2023).
Selain itu, dilakukan juga pemotongan pita dan penandatanganan prasasti menandai diresmikannya Fakultas Ekonomi dan Fakultas Teknik Uniska MAB.
Sahbirin mengatakan, Gedung Rektorat dengan fungsinya sebagai tempat kerja bagi jajaran pimpinan Universitas sekaligus tempat pelayanan akademis bagi civitas akademika.
“Dari pembangunan kedua infrastruktur pendidikan Uniska MAB dapat meningkatkan pengelolaan aktifitas akademik,” ungkap Sahbirin.
Sahbirin menuturkan, pihaknya akan terus berupaya memberikan yang terbaik bagi Uniska MAB.
“Kita ingin Uniska MAB dapat terus melahirkan generasi berkualitas andalan Banua,” tuturnya.
Diutarakannya, tugasnya sebagai pemerintah bersama institusi pendidikan untuk mengelola bonus demografi agar terbentuk sumber daya manusia yang berdaya saing tinggi, produktif dan kreatif.
“Uniska MAB harus dapat mempersiapkan diri untuk menjadi tongkat estafet pembangunan pendidikan menjelang momen Indonesia Emas 2045 karena Perguruan tinggi memiliki peran penting dalam membangun SDM yang unggul, produktif dan berkarakter,” ujarnya.
Rektor Uniska MAB, Abdul Malik menambahkan, saat ini Uniska MAB telah menduduki rangking 125 PTN/PTS se-Indonesia, khusus wilayah Kalimantan sebagai PTS terbesar.
“Jadi seiring dengan perkembangan kampus dilakukan pembangunan gedung Rektorat, sesuai tuntutan sarana dan prasarana yang harus dilengkapi dalam kelancaran proses mengajar dan kegiatan kampus lainnya,” sebut Malik.
Sementara itu, Ketua Badan Pembina Yayasan Uniska MAB, Rahmi Tajuddin Noor mengatakan, gedung Rektorat rencananya akan dibangun empat lantai, yaitu dari satu lantai untuk pelayanan, kedua untuk ruang Yayasan dan Rektor, ketiga untuk Pascasarjana dan keempat dibuat Aula untuk berbagai kegiatan lainnya.
“Sehingga dari keberadaan gedung pascasarjana akan memfasilitasi lahirnya magister-magister baru di Banua agar jumlah lulusan akan sama dengan peningkatan kualitas lulusan,”tambah Rahmi. (MC Kalsel/infopublik)
